About your counselor

Rhoda Omejia

I’m a Certified Biblical Counselor (CBC), licensed through Therapon, with a passion for helping people experience the healing, freedom, and transformation found in God’s truth. I serve Godley and communities across Johnson, Hood, and Tarrant counties through in-person and video sessions.

My approach is rooted in Scripture and centered on Christ. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, grief, relationship challenges, spiritual struggles, life transitions, or simply longing to grow closer to God, I provide a compassionate, grace-filled space where you can be heard, understood, and encouraged.

Rather than offering temporary solutions, I help you discover God’s wisdom for everyday life through practical direction, biblical principles, and dependence on the Holy Spirit. As a wife, mother, and follower of Jesus, I understand that life can be both beautiful and challenging, and my desire is to walk alongside you with humility, compassion, and biblical truth.

“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” — Psalm 147:3

Questions & answers

Frequently asked questions

A few clear answers before we begin.

What is biblical counseling, and how is it different from therapy?

Biblical counseling looks at life’s struggles and decisions through Scripture, prayer, and a relationship with Christ. Unlike clinical therapy, it does not diagnose or treat mental health conditions; when licensed clinical or medical care is needed, I will encourage you to seek it.

Are you a licensed therapist?

No. I am a Certified Biblical Counselor (CBC), licensed through Therapon, not a state-licensed clinical therapist. My care is pastoral and Scripture-centered rather than clinical mental health treatment.

Is what I share confidential?

What you share in session stays between us, within biblical and legal limits. If a safety concern or legal duty means something cannot remain private, I will be honest with you about that.

How long are sessions?

Sessions are typically 45 minutes to one hour. We will use that time to listen carefully, look to Scripture, pray, and identify practical next steps.

Do I have to be a Christian to come?

No. You are welcome to come with questions, doubts, or a desire to understand what biblical counseling offers. Because this counseling is explicitly biblical, Scripture and faith will remain at the center of our time together.

What if I can’t afford the monthly rate?

Please reach out rather than assuming counseling is out of reach. A conversation about financial hardship is welcome, and we can talk honestly about what may be possible.

How do video sessions work?

We meet face-to-face by video from a private place where you can speak comfortably. Before the appointment, you will receive what you need to join; a reliable internet connection and a quiet space are recommended.

Reflections

Truth to return to

Short reminders for faith, marriage, and the everyday work of healing.

What praying for your marriage changes

Prayer does not always change the circumstances first. Often, it begins by softening our hearts, renewing our perspective, and helping us respond with truth and grace.

You are not the season you’re in

A hard chapter can feel like an identity. Scripture reminds us that seasons move, God remains, and your present pain does not get to name your future.

When your mind will not quiet down

Bring the anxious thought into the light. Name it honestly, test it against God’s Word, and take the next small step instead of demanding the whole path at once.
